A Message from the PresidentGreetings! A quick introduction, my name is Amber Olek, and it’s my honor to serve as the President of the North Dakota Society of Health-System Pharmacists. My “day” job is currently with Essentia Health Fargo, providing central and clinical services overnight. I’ve enjoyed this role as it’s kept me at the heart of in-the-moment patient care. I’m excited to be involved again with NDSHP and hope to build on my experience as a past Secretary-Treasurer. During my tenure, my desire is to foster connection and collaboration among the dedicated people serving their communities across North Dakota. I will continue to focus on our mission, to elevate health-system pharmacy practice and patient care in our region through advocacy, innovation and supporting you, our members! It’s your engagement with the profession that drives advancement! The demands of life never cease, and I genuinely want to thank those who have found the time to lead networking meetings, present education, serve on a committee, mentor students and residents, and lend your leadership to the organization. As a volunteer state affiliate, the good work happening could not be done without each of you, answering the call. This year’s Board is made up of exemplary leaders, and I’m so grateful for what each of them brings to the organization. Members include, Katie Evans, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP (Past-President), Katherine Kessel, PharmD, BCCCP (President-Elect), Emily Parry, PharmD, BCACP (Secretary-Treasurer), Maari Loy, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP, MBA(Member-at-Large), and Amellia Kuhn, PharmD Candidate (NDSHP-SSHP President 26-27). Thank you for the work you do, and I look forward to connecting with you over the next year! Most Sincerely, Amber Olek, PharmD, BCPS NDSHP President |
